Abstract

The paper focuses on the results of design and research activities aimed to define foundations of family values for young people living in the Far North. The work underlines the fact that design and research activities help strengthen family values. The paper aims to describe design and research activities with young students in determining the foundations of family values. At the North-Eastern Federal University, within the framework of the Federal State Educational Standard, organizing research work with students has always been strategically important. In the new realities, students are given a lot of opportunities for self-realization and for revealing their potential not only in their profession but also in various interdisciplinary spheres. In the recent years, according to the results of Rosstat for the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the  number of marriages decreases and that of divorces increases; in 2015, 7,668 marriages and 4,087 divorces  were recorded, and in 2023, 4,935 marriages and 4,036 divorces. These data reveal a family values-related problem looming in the Far North. To solve it, a clear understanding of family values of the modern young generation is required. The method of projective research activity allows, within the framework of the students’ project, to consider the definition of family values in detail, taking into account the climatic and socio-cultural characteristics that affect the young population of the Far North. Young students were selected as respondents because they are most likely to form new families. We believe instilling family values in students important, as they, having become a young family, strengthen the foundations of social institutions, which are the basis of the state.

Abstract

The article reveals the methodological aspects of forming knowledge functionality at the present stage of education development, the features of practice-oriented chemistry teaching from the standpoint of requirements for the results of teaching students according to the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education and applications to them. Achieving the functionality of knowledge as the ability to apply scientific knowledge in various situations is a strategic task for all levels of the education system. This most important public demand for the results of the modern educational process is also indicated in the documents: “The concept of the development of natural science literacy of students”, “The concept of the development of practice-oriented education in Russia”, combining the requirements of educational and professional standards for the professional competencies of students at the university. The functionality of chemical knowledge is formed in practice, by modern means of practice-oriented learning. The authors made an attempt to combine practice-oriented teaching methods and technologies implemented in the natural science education of schoolchildren, aimed at forming the functionality of knowledge based on strengthening the practical component of teaching chemistry and establishing interdisciplinary connections. The conditions for ensuring the functionality of chemical knowledge in chemistry teaching are determined: meta-subjectivity and contextuality of the content of educational tasks, the instrumentality of chemistry teaching and the complexity of the application of chemical experiment, the introduction of a regional component in chemistry teaching and continuity in the application of productive methods in chemical education.

Abstract

The article is devoted to a new approach to the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL) by revealing and applying in practice the laws of functioning of mirror neurons that can activate the synchronous perception of units of a non-native language. The human mirror neuron system functions by mapping perceived actions directly to the motor system, observing and mimicking actions, and improving understanding of other people’s thoughts and actions through motor imitation. Mirror neurons play an important role in social cognition, copycat behavior, and understanding other people’s behavior. In addition, mirror neurons contribute to a person’s ability to acquire new skills, understand intentions, and interpret verbal and non-verbal components of language. There are three distinct components of empathy: motor, emotional, and cognitive, directly dependent on mirror neuron function. Learning a foreign language is one of the most difficult human problems, because language activity occurs not only mechanically, but also mentally. This means that language activity is also associated with mental (brain) processes as well as with biological ones. In this regard, in our opinion, the study of a foreign language should rely on interdisciplinary research, in particular on neurobiological studies that reveal the essence of the work of mirror neurons in the cognitive aspect. The analysis of the functioning of mirror neurons is considered in the article on the analysis of typical errors made by Indonesian students in the RFL learning process, which reveal the mechanism of disturbances in the function of mirror neurons, which result in the occurrence of interferents of different tiers of the structure of the language. The proposed approach has great prospects in the methodology of teaching RFL to increase the efficiency of mastering Russian as a foreign language.

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of ethnic identity in individuals with character accentuation in the context of modern multi-ethnic society. As a key component of social identity, ethnic identity affects   interethnic interaction and social behavior. Loss of ethnic identity can lead to negative emotional reactions and destructive behaviors. Just as character accentuations manifest themselves in the form of disharmonic   types of ethnic identity. The study covered 160 students under the age of 25. The experimental group   consisted of 80 respondents with different accentuations of character. The study of character accentuations was carried out with the help of the Dvorchenko Test of Personal Accentuations (TPA), a modified version   of the Patodiagnostic questionnaire by Lichko. Ethnic identity was studied using the methodology “Types of Ethnic Identity” by Soldatova and Ryzhova. The results showed that among individuals with character   accentuations, the most common are the hysteric (61.25%), schizoid (25%) and epileptoid types of accentuation (22.5%). Ethnic indifference prevails in this group, while positive ethnic identity dominates   students with no character accentuations. Statistical analysis using the Fisher angular transformation confirmed significant differences between the groups. For the positive ethnic identity parameter in the control sample, the incidence was higher than in accentuated (φ=3.18, p 0.01). While the type of ethnic indifference is significantly higher in the group of individuals with character accents (φ=1.73, p=0.05). The data analysis indicates that individuals with character accentuations show a low level of interest in issues of ethnic identity and are inclined to ethnic indifference. These findings underscore the need to take into   account psychological characteristics in the analysis of ethnic identity.

Abstract

In the philosophy of mathematics, two opposing trends have historically developed: apriorism (Pythagoras) and empiricism (Aristotle) and both of them have had their impact on the development of music. Philosophers of Ancient Greece and the East noted the important role of music; it was used in religious rites, which served as the basis for social and state relations. The article presents a joint panorama of the development (by historical eras) of the philosophy of mathematics and music and notes their close relationship. But if the Philosophy of Mathematics has long been included in the section of sciences «Philosophical Questions of Science», the Philosophy of Music has not yet acquired such a full-fledged status, although philosophers, specialists in aesthetics, art criticism, composers and musicians have dedicated their works to it. This can be attributed to the fact that since the time of Pythagoras, science has not advanced much in explaining the phenomenon of music. The article attempts to explain this paradox and offer as a hypothesis possible options for studying this topic «Mathematics and Music». The development of brain sciences, high technologies and cognitive sciences can contribute to the success in the development of the Philosophy of Music. The philosophy of music explores ontological, epistemological and axiological problems, the essence, historical and social existence of music, as well as the features of its interaction with art, literature, mathematics, natural and humanitarian sciences. Applied issues of the philosophy of music are the formation of ethical and cognitive guidelines for life and ideological ideals in humans. Music finds its practical embodiment in medicine, psychology, education and various means of communication. The latter is becoming the most important direction of modern philosophy and science. At present, mathematics contributes to the development of new integral directions in music associated with light, color and many other characteristics.
