On the training of healthcare staff in the system of secondary vocational education in Yakutia

Abstract

The objective of the study is to consider the organization of secondary medical vocational education in the regional context. The objectives were: to study the shortage of medical personnel; a brief description of educational institutions of secondary vocational education in the medical field of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia); to present the experience of the Yakutsk Medical College in opening branches in the region’s populated areas and organizing targeted training to provide mid-level personnel with medical specialists. The article presents the results of a survey of teachers of medical colleges on the use of teaching methods and technologies in vocational training (educational cases, paired work, projects, research activities, business games, etc.). The forms of partnership with employers (holding meetings, professional competitions, game production situations, weeks of specialties, etc.) are characterized. Research methods: study of scientific and pedagogical literature, Internet resources, survey of teachers, generalization of experience. The results may be of interest to specialists involved in training personnel for the healthcare system. In the future, it is necessary to consider the features of the organization of continuous medical education; interaction within the framework of the “school-college-university-clinic” model; forms of cooperation with additional educational organizations and medical colleges in other regions of the country.
