On the issue of teaching Russian in Kazakhsta

Abstract
Language plays a decisive role in the life of society. The article discusses issues of modern methodology in the practice of teaching the Russian language in the educational sphere of Kazakhstan. The status of the Russian language in modern Kazakhstan and related issues of teaching methodology are described. With the introduction of a trilingual (Kazakh, Russian and English) policy in sovereign Kazakhstan, the Russian language acquired the status of a language of interethnic communication. The role of the Russian language in Kazakhstan, including in the educational process in the higher education system, is considered. The study describes the changing role of the Russian language in Kazakh content. A review of previously published works on this problem was carried out. A brief review of scientific research on linguodidactics indicates the presence of methodological problems associated with teaching the Russian language. Further, the authors describe some principles of teaching the Russian language in an educational environment. The phenomenon of literary text is defined as one of the options for intercultural communication in the process of teaching the Russian language. An interdisciplinary study of the stated issues is possible by referring to the bibliographic database of scientific works devoted to practical methods of teaching the Russian language. The scholarly novelty of the work is seen in the formation of an updated methodology for teaching the Russian language in modern multi-ethnic Kazakhstan, as well as in scientific and practical reflection on language reforms in the country.
