Current challenges of young families of Verkhoyansk district

Abstract

The family is a unique social institution. Not only the demographic situation in our society, but also its development as a whole depends on the successful fulfillment of the reproductive and socialization functions of a young family. As an object of youth policy, a young family can be defined as spouses under the age of 35, who are at the “peak” of the active reproductive age, satisfy the moral-psycho-physiological and reproductive needs of a person, who are married, or live together up to 3 years with children or willing to have children. The article is devoted to the study of current challenges of young families in Verkhoyansk district, Sakha Republic (Yakutia), comparing the problems of young families of two ethnic groups, Yakuts and Evens, of Verkhoyansk district. The most common problems of young families are considered.
